Arianna Bartlett's Research
I am currently a graduate student in the Genetics, Genomics, & Development (GGD) graduate program at Cornell University. I am
studying microRNAs that may be implicated in mammary cancer across several species. I am interested in finding the differences
in microRNA expression between animals that have a high incidence of mammary cancer (e.g. cat, dog, human) and those that have
a low incidence of mammary cancer (e.g. horse, cow, pig). My goal is to use this information to find targets for disease biomarkers
and/or mammary cancer treatment. Additionally, I am developing 3D mammary organoid models from various mammals to further study
differences in species with varying incidence for mammary cancer.
